Visual Arts Scotland held their biennial exhibition, The Thread That Pulls, in the Royal Scottish Academy in December 2025 and selected my painting ‘Cara in Sunshine and Pink’.

I don’t think I’d ever grow tired of seeing a painting of my own on the walls of the RSA.

I love this gallery and their ethos of supporting early career artists, so I was delighted to have two works selected for their inaugural exhibition.

Artmag featured my painting ‘Young Sevillans’ on their November cover to advertise the exhibition which was a lovely bonus.

ING Discerning Eye Exhibition at The Mall Galleries in London, in which I had two works – one of which was ‘Safe’, selected by artist Polly Morgan.

I was excited that ‘Play’ was selected for 2025’s Summer Exhibition. Sikelela Owen RA made the selection which focused on themes of childhood and family. It was a real thrill to see my work hanging alongside some amazing work by other artists.

I spent some time working on triptychs and enjoyed the possibilities and playfulness of the format. This particular triptych ‘Katie Lambert’ was the most successful I think, and I was thrilled that it won The Paintbox School of Art Award.

It’s always interesting and surprising to know what interpretation people put on your work, it’s a rewarding part of the process of making the work.
